12 new lieutenantsSeven new lieutenants assumed position in fire stations throughout Madison effective January 3, 2016.

This latest team rounds out the group of twelve that were slated for promotion last summer following a rigorous application process.

In addition to a written test, all candidates were reviewed on various aspects of their overall job performance, including etiquette, punctuality, and engagement with the public, just to name a few. They also participated in a three-part “Assessment Center” where they were tested on personnel problem solving, fire response strategy, and scenario instruction.

The following individuals have been assigned to one of our thirteen stations, serving in one of three 24-hour shift cycles (e.g. “A” shift, “B” shift, “C” shift).
