Where are you stationed?
I’m at Fire Station 2 (Grand Canyon Blvd.) on the C shift.

Why did you want to pursue this career?
I wanted to make a difference in the community and help people.

Why did you want to work in Madison, for the Madison Fire Department?
After taking an EMT class years ago, I found that I really enjoyed helping people. I initially looked into working for a private EMS provider but a cousin suggested I look at MFD. After talking with him, and learning about all the volunteer work and initiatives MFD does for the community, I knew that working for MFD would be more rewarding.

What do you like about your station and/or the territory?
We see a wide variety of calls, from car accidents to assisting our paramedics with EMS calls. Since I had no prior fire experience, it's eye-opening and I try to learn as much as I can on every call.

What has been the most rewarding part of your experience so far?
Participating in community outreach programs and experiencing the positive response from our community members.
