Fullmore Interns Shauna and MichaelThe Madison Fire Department says goodbye to this year's Wanda Fullmore Interns this week!

The Wanda Fullmore Internship Program is designed to help underprivileged teens who are facing some sort of life barrier. It is an opportunity for them to learn about the possibility of working for city government.

We were fortunate to have two interns this summer: Shauna Rowin-Fox and Michael Braxton Jr.

Shauna Rowin-Fox was assigned to Madison Fire Administration to work as an office support staff. Michael Braxton Jr. was assigned to various stations and assisted with several community events. Both interns started on June 27, and their last day is Thursday, August 18.

The Madison Fire Department is fortunate to have had the opportunity to make a difference in these youths’ lives.

Good luck, Shauna and Michael!
