Lt. Philip RuscettiWhere are you stationed?
I currently work at Station 5 (Cottage Grove Rd.) on the 'B' shift. Previously I was in the Fire Training Division on a hybrid schedule and roved around to different stations.

What was your previous position?
Before this promotion, I was a firefighter.

What do you like most about your career with MFD?
The two things I love about my job are helping people and problem solving. With this new promotion, that doesn't change! We still put ourselves between the people and the problem!

What's the most rewarding aspect of the job for you?
Being a roving Lieutenant in my first year was rewarding because I got to serve all of the various neighborhoods and communities in Madison.

The added bonus of being in the Training Division my first year was also very rewarding. I've learned a lot, and I had a great team.

Any other fun facts about yourself you'd like to share?
I have been on two special teams: the Hazardous Incident Team (HIT) and the Fire Investigation Team (FIT).
