Get To Know the Finalists

The PFC has named the following candidates as finalists for the position of Fire Chief:

  • Scott K. Bavery
  • Tracy L. Burrus
  • Chris P. Carbon
  • Theodore D. Higgins

Final interviews with the candidates will take place in closed session on Tuesday, March 8. A portion of the session will be recorded and released to the public by Thursday, March 10. Have your say in the selection process. Written comments may be shared with the PFC anytime by emailing pfc@cityofmadison.com.

Additionally, public comment is welcomed at the PFC meeting scheduled Monday, March 14, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. Register to speak. This meeting will be the final opportunity to speak to the commission before it makes a decision.

The PFC is slated to announce its final selection on Friday, March 18.
