The City of Madison is celebrating National Voter Registration Day tomorrow! The Madison City Clerk’s Office has collaborated with community organizations to make voter registration drives available at 19 locations across the city including 5 sites on the UW-Madison campus, all Madison Public Library branches, and the Dream Bus.

In addition to offering voter registration, two sites will serve as community service hubs - Urban League of Greater Madison’s Employment Center and the United Way of Dane County. United Way of Dane County’s 211 staff will be available to answer questions people have about accessing local programs and services they need.

The event at Urban League of Greater Madison’s Employment Center on McKenna Blvd. will include staff from Urban League’s Employment Services, Urban Triage’s Eviction & Housing Support Services, All of Us Wisconsin, and the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin. Free food and a DJ will also be there to make it even more of a celebration!

Civic holidays like National Voter Registration Day remind us that democracy never sleeps. This particular day creates a moment each year that focuses on getting people registered so they can exercise their most basic right – the right to vote.

You can always check your voter registration at MyVote.WI.gov. If you’ve moved or changed your name since you last voted, take advantage of this civic holiday and update your voter registration today to be ready for the 2022 elections.
