It is a pivotal time for climate action in our community, and the City is working to update Madison’s Sustainability Plan to guide our work into the future. Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts on this important issue.

It is a pivotal time for climate action in our country. Communities face increased challenges like this summer’s wildfire smoke and record heat. Cities like Madison can and should play a critical role in climate action and environmental protection to address these challenges. And right now there is unprecedented federal support for cutting climate, air, and water pollution thanks to President Biden’s Climate Plan. That is why I am pleased to share that the City of Madison is updating the Sustainability Plan to reflect the City’s achievements, ongoing work, and priorities for the future. The Plan’s goals and actions aim to ensure that Madison is a green and resilient place to live today and for future generations.

The Sustainable Madison Committee and City staff have been leading the charge to update the plan. They are eager to gather community input so that the final plan reflects the priorities and voices of all Madisonians. That is why I am asking everyone to take the Sustainability Plan Update Survey and share your vision for a green and resilient Madison! The survey is available in English, Spanish, Hmoob, and Chinese. It only takes about 10 minutes to complete.
