Based on input gathered during the first phase of the Transit Network Redesign process, two options for future Metro mapping have been developed – one with a focus on ridership and the other on coverage. Neither is the final proposal and ultimately our future Metro system will require a compromise of both priorities. We need you to give us your feedback on these two options by taking the Alternatives Survey so we can properly balance the two opposing priorities. In preparation for the quick survey you can view the ridership alternative option here, and view the coverage alternative option here.

Your invaluable input will be used to develop a draft plan that will better meet the need of Madison Area residents and businesses by increasing access and frequency, decreasing travel times, and improving the quality of riders’ experience. Your feedback is vital to helping the city develop the best possible transit network for the Madison area.  Together, the Network Redesign and Metro RAPID bus Rapid Transit system will provide community residents and visitors with a fast, reliable, and easy to use transit system.
