The Mayors of five U.S. cities wrote U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and the Federal Railroad Administration to urge an enhanced American passenger rail network and specifically to support the extension of Amtrack’s Hiawatha Line in the Upper Midwest. Mayor Rhodes-Conway was joined by Mayor Lightfoot of Chicago, Mayor Carter of St. Paul, Mayor Barrett of Milwaukee and Mayor Frey of Minneapolis in a joint letter you can access here.
