Hello Center Participants!
As we head in to March and we start to witness the on-again-off again signs of Spring, I often find myself thinking about new opportunities and activities.
In late June of 1983 the Madison Senior Center opened with a week-long celebration. This one million dollar facility was the first building in Madison designed specifically as a center for older people and built as a public and private collaboration.
The perfect way to volunteer:
Once a month the wonderful sounds of children laughing, singing, and playing can be heard at the Senior Center. Local preschools have partnered here to provide a unique opportunity for intergenerational awareness, understanding and FUN.
Introducing Sydney, our second AASPIRE intern! Sydney splits her time between the senior center and City’s IT department. While at the senior center she is updating the content of our website, when it is re-launched in the fall you will see a website that is easy to read and up to date. On her
Julia has been volunteering at the Senior Center for almost a year. She is a smiling face at the front desk where she handles phone calls, helps with questions, and assists with clerical tasks.
