Knowing the signs and symptoms of heat stroke is extremely important as emergency treatment is needed. Untreated heat stroke cause severe and even fatal damage to your brain, heart, kidneys, and muscles. Stay one step ahead of heat stroke by knowing the following symptoms:

  • High body temperature
  • A lack of sweating
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Flushed skin
  • Rapid breathing
  • Racing heart rate
  • Headache
  • Confusion
  • Unconsciousness
  • Muscle cramps or weakness

Remember to seek medical assistance immediately if you or someone you see is showing signs of heat stroke. If you don’t live with your aging loved ones, be sure to check on them frequently during the summer months to make sure they are staying cool.
