L to R: Gary, Andrew, and Kenny

Three generations of automotive enthusiasts in our Madison community have come together in the same field and work in close proximity to each other, which is a rare phenomenon. This is the story of Kenny Dalton, Andrew Dalton, and Andrew's grandfather, Gary Regge, who have dedicated their lives to the automotive industry and have worked for several years at different automotive service centers as diesel mechanics.

Kenny Dalton has been working at Fleet since March 2001. He always had an interest in cars since he was young. His passion led him to attend the Universal Technical Institute in Illinois for mechanical trades training. Kenny primarily works on Madison Fire Department apparatus on the heavy-duty side. He handles routine repairs, maintenance, and pump tests. Kenny is always up for new challenges and likes to work on fire trucks because it gives him something different to work on.

Andrew Dalton, Kenny's son, has been working with us since November 2022. Andrew has been around vehicles since he was young and grew up with his father working in the automotive industry. He first started taking automotive classes as a freshman in high school at La Follette here in Madison. After high school, he went on to Madison Area Technical College for Diesel and heavy equipment training for two years. Prior to working at Fleet, he worked full-time at RG Houston Trucking in Cottage Grove. He also worked at Kriete Trucking Center where his grandfather currently works.

Gary Regge has been working at Kriete Trucking Center, a vendor of Fleet and dozens of other local fleets that is less than five minutes away from Fleet HQ, for over 50 years. With the father and son combo on our shop floor and Andrew's grandfather working nearby, this family has a legacy of excellence in the automotive industry spanning both the public sector and private sector. The family's expertise is a result of their passion, training, and years of experience. The family's love for vehicles is evident in their work, and they take pride in providing high-quality service to their customers. The automotive industry is not just a job for this family, it's a way of life. They are all passionate about what they do and have dedicated their lives to keeping important trucks running for our community. Kenny, Andrew, and Gary have all worked for several years in different service centers, gaining experience and knowledge that they bring to their work at Fleet and Kriete.
