Read Metro's 2020 Annual Report
In 2020, Metro was forced to to make a number of difficult decisions due to the onset of Covid-19.
Essential service to the community including transportation to doctor's appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies and jobs continued, however a number of safety measures had to be put into place.
As a result of the pandemic, Metro experienced a 63% drop in ridership for the year.
Though during this time, staff was able to continue work on upgrading its current maintenance facility, secure a satellite maintenance location, and keep planning a complete redesign of the system as well as a future bus rapid transit system.
