Construction is scheduled to start on Monday, September 12, 2022. Next week, City Engineering will be mailing a letter with information and details regarding the project to residents impacted by construction work.

Project Overview

In 2022, the City of Madison is proposing the construction of new concrete sidewalk at different locations throughout the City to fill gaps and connect existing sections of sidewalk. In addition, intersection crossings will be evaluated and improved as needed.

Project Limits

Locations with missing sections of sidewalk have been identified as follows:

  • Busse St, east side of 3700 block

  • Johns St, both sides of 3600 block and a small section fronting 3526 Johns St.
  • Judd St., west side of 100 block
  • Walter St., east side Johns to Sargent.
  • Royster Ave., west side from Olbrich to Sargent.

Project Schedule

April 2022: advertised for bids.

June 2022: anticipated start of construction.
