Accessible parking spaces are available in all City lots and on the ground floor of all City parking garages. Standard fees apply and are payable at Pay-on-Foot Stations, Exit Stations, or with a Parking Fee Notice (for overnight parking)

In the State Street Capitol Garage, accessible parking is also available next to the elevator on every level.

Hangtags and License Plates

A valid, state-issued "Parking for people with disabilities" hangtag or license plate must be displayed when parking in a designated space. The person who the hangtag or plates were issued to must be in the vehicle while parking the vehicle and while exiting the parking space.

A "Parking for people with disabilities" hangtag or license plate enables people with disabilities to park in:

  • Accessible parking spaces in all City lots and City parking garages. Standard fees apply and are payable at Pay-on-Foot Stations, Exit Stations, or with a Parking Fee Notice (for overnight parking).
  • Accessible parking next to the elevator on every level of the State Street Capitol Garage.
  • Free accessible parking stalls on-street.
  • A metered space (for longer than the time limit) without being ticketed.
  • Any non-designated, general use, stalls (without payment) for up-to 48 hours.
