Roof replacement is in process and will be complete in 1-2 weeks. Gary Brown Roofing and Illingsworth-Kilgust are doing the work. Total cost is $330k.

Project Overview

This project is the design and construction of an emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness. There site will include parking for vehicles and bikes, and space for bus drop off and pick up. The building will include spaces for a welcome and check-in process, social and eating activities, hygiene (i.e. restrooms and showers), and rooms for quarantine, isolation, and recovery. There will also be support spaces for offices for the third party operator, small meeting rooms, and storage for staff and guests.

Sept. 16, 2022: The design work for the project is substantially complete and the project is under construction. Current plan is to complete construction in early October and start operation of the facility in middle October 2022.

May 04, 2023:Two RFBs related to the Zeier Rd. Shelter were issued on 5/3/23. RFB 12042 is for the replacement of the roof system and RFB 12043 is for the mechanical scope associated with the roof replacement. The roof is ~30,000 SF. This work is planned for Spring - Summer 2023. To be complete by 9/29/23.
