Course Description

This course provides an overview of the policy and process for drug and alcohol testing at the City of Madison, with a special focus on the Supervisor's role in that process. As a result of the course, you will understand the impacts of drugs and alcohol on the workplace and specific responsibilities of a Supervisor. You will also learn about the Federal Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, and our organizational responsibilities related to that program. This program covers the specifics of APM 2-23: Drugs, Controlled Substance, Alcohol and Drug Testing Policy which is intended to bring the City into compliance with mandated federal regulations.

All supervisors of CDL holders are required to take this course, but it is beneficial to all supervisors at the City of Madison.
