Madison Parks, in conjunction with City Engineering and Dane County, will be replacing the existing beach shelter and installing a clean beach treatment system at Tenney Park in 2022-2023.

New Restrooms and Shelter
City Engineering will be replacing the existing beach house with a new park shelter and restrooms at Tenney Beach. The building will also include a pump room as part of the Clean Beach system announced in August 2019, a joint project between the City of Madison and Dane County. Tenney Park Beach Shelter will be the sixth prototype park shelter and restrooms. Previous prototype shelters are located at Lake Edge Park; Esther Beach; Penn Park, Walter Street at Olbrich Park and Warner Beach, currently under construction. A neighborhood informational meeting is being planned for February 2021.
