Solar Electric Installation

Installation of a roughly 52 kW solar photovoltaic system at the Madison Fire Department Station 14. The system will be roof mounted modules and will produce an estimated 67,000 kWh per year. When combined with the building’s existing roof mounted system, 90% of the building’s electricity usage will be generated by the solar arrays. The array will be installed by the Engineering Division’s GreenPower program where trainees with little to no electrical skills are provide on-the-job training through solar installations on City buildings.
