Project Description

This project includes street improvements and public utility replacement including sanitary sewer main and laterals, water main and services, and the extension of storm sewer.

Frey Street/Sawyer Terrace Intersection Construction: Two nonconsecutive 3-day closures for sanitary sewer main and water main construction will occur as well as two nonconsecutive 1-day closures during gravel placement and asphalt paving. Frey Street and Sawyer Terrace will be open to local traffic (residents & businesses) only.

Frey Street Construction: Closed during construction from approximately July to August. The street will be open to local traffic (residents & businesses). Sawyer Terrace will be open during this time as a temporary 2-way from Segoe Road to the Hotel construction site and a 1-way from the Hotel construction site to Frey Street.

Sawyer Terrace Construction: Closed during construction from approximately August to September. The street will be open to local traffic (residents and businesses) and will be a temporary 2-way from Segoe Road to Frey Street. Frey Street will be open with 2-way traffic.

Public Information Meeting

The City of Madison held a public information meeting for this project on Monday, March 5th, 2018. Meeting topics included sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewer installation, proposed street and sidewalk work and 2018 construction staging and timing.
