Dear Metro Colleagues,
Last Friday, I was at the White House for a US Conference of Mayors event and was delighted that Madison got a shout out from the President during his speech. He commended us for taking action to help the climate and improve public health with our order of 46 electric buses.
"It’s a big deal," he said. And, I agree!
He may have said my name, but he was commending your good work and I wanted to send along a clip to make sure you saw it.
Thank you for the hard work you do every day to get people to and from work, school and play -- on time and safely. Thank you for being the friendly face of Metro for our riders through some of our community’s most challenging times as well as through the coming implementation of both BRT and the transit network redesign.
We are creating a better system that will serve Madison well for years to come and we couldn’t do it without you.
