December Service Updates

Schedule & Bus Stop Updates - Effective Sunday, December 3

metro driver smilingTo improve on-time performance and overall reliability, schedule adjustments will be made to most routes on Sunday, December 3. Additionally, several bus stops along the future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line will close. Updated trip planing data and online schedule information is coming soon.

Route and Schedule Updates

Schedule updates impact almost all routes, except 55, 65 and 80-84:

  • Weekday, Saturday and Sunday schedules have been adjusted to improve reliability and transfers. Schedules have been adjusted to better reflect service that's been operating since the redesign took effect in June.
  • New trips added, including five additional trips on the Route B.
  • Some timepoint updates and additions.
  • Route R will now interline with Route C at the UW Hospital on evenings and weekends. This provides a one-seat ride to/from the Capitol to the west side.
  • Short loop' trips added to Route 75 from Maple Grove at McKee to address overloading.

Bus Stops to Close

Several bus stops along the future BRT corridor will also close on Sunday, December 3. Red bus stop posters will be hung at these 34 stops soon. Please be prepared for questions.

Passengers will continue to board at regular, old Metro stops at these intersections until BRT service begins (roughly late 2024). We will not be utilizing the new BRT platforms until that time.
