Community Paramedicine Team-2020Community Paramedicine, also known as Mobile Integrated Health, is a revolutionary approach to emergency medicine which aspires to support, educate, and empower at-risk individuals to improve their overall health and satisfaction with the healthcare system.

Community Paramedics pay home visits and connect their patients with available resources in Madison and Dane County to help them take charge of their own healthcare. By providing proactive care for these individuals, we hope to reduce the number of emergent 9-1-1 calls and ER visits.

Our Community Paramedics are also involved in specialized projects with local hospitals, the Madison Police Department, and Dane County Human services. In cooperation with nurse case managers and social workers, we work directly with frequent users of local emergency rooms. We assist the Madison Police Department’s Addiction Resource Team with jail diversion programming and to connect clients with treatment. Most recently, we have partnered with Dane County Human Services and Journey Mental Health on a mobile crisis response team known as CARES.
