Beginning Thursday, July 5, City Engineering along with contractors will begin reconstruction of South High Point Rd. The project limits are Welton Dr to Velvet Leaf Dr. This project will replace the sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water laterals, curb and gutter, and pavement. The project requires the closure of this segment of South High Point Road, and traffic will be restricted to local traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to use different routes to avoid delay during this project.

The project is expected to last until July 20.
