The City of Madison has created two infographics to assist voters who need to get a Wisconsin ID. 
 
Visit www.cityofmadison.com/freeID to find out how to apply for a free ID from the DMV.  Visit www.cityofmadison.com/freeIDproofunavailable to find out how to petition the DMV to verify your name, date of birth, and/or U.S. citizenship.
 
Voters should note that driver licenses and ID cards from other states are not accepted under the Wisconsin voter ID law.  A list of acceptable forms of voter ID is available at www.cityofmadison.com/voterID.
 
The address on a voter’s ID does not need to be current for the purpose of proving identity.
