Voter registration closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, for anyone registering by mail or at a Madison Public Library. 
 
The City Clerk’s Office encourages voters to check their registration online at https://MyVote.wi.gov.  Anyone who has moved will need to complete a new registration form.  
 
Voters wishing to register by mail can begin the process online at https://MyVote.wi.gov.  Registration forms must be postmarked no later than October 15.
 
All voter registrations must be accompanied by proof of address—one of the following documents showing the voter’s current name and current address:
 

  • Utility bill issued in the last 90 days
  • Bank or credit union statement
  • Wisconsin driver license/ID
  • Government document/check
  • Paycheck

Although registration closes on October 15, voter registration will continue in the Clerk’s Office through Friday, October 31.  Voters may also register at the polls on Election Day with proof of address.
