Madison voters are invited to visit the City Clerk’s Office to try out their new ballot tabulator, the intElect DS200.

All polling places in Dane County will tabulate votes using the DS200 beginning with the February Primary.

Voters will continue to cast their votes on ballots, but there will no longer be any broken arrows to complete.  Instead, voters will mark their ballots by filling in ovals.

Once a voter has inserted a ballot into the DS200, he or she should wait to see “Thank you for voting!” appear on the screen.  The “Thank you for voting!” message is confirmation that the ballot has been counted.

Voters may obtain a sample ballot and try out the DS200 in the City Clerk’s Office, 210 Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard #103, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.  The office will be closed on December 24, December 25, December 31, and January 1.
