Voter Registration is open for two weeks

Fifty-one eligible voters in the City of Madison intended to register and vote at the polls this Tuesday, but were unable to do so because they did not have an acceptable document to prove their address.

Voter registration is now open and will remain open until 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 18. During open registration, voters may register at any Madison Public Library or at Streets East.

The City Clerk's Office has deputized approximately 1,200 individuals to register City of Madison voters during open registration. Voters do not need to provide proof of address during open registration-their address is proven through a postcard they will receive in the mail.

Voters can verify their registration through the Voter Public Access website, https://vpa.wi.gov.
