Voters wishing to receive an absentee ballot by mail must submit a signed request to their municipal clerk by this Thursday, October 28.

City of Madison voters can check the status of their absentee ballot requests through the Voter Public Access website, https://vpa.wi.gov.

The Madison City Clerk's Office has issued 8,924 absentee ballots for this election. Seventy percent of those ballots have been returned to be counted. Ballots must be returned to the Clerk's Office by Election Day in order to be counted.

Madison voters can vote absentee in the City Clerk's Office Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Clerk's Office will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, October 30, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Madison City Clerk's Office is still looking for eligible voters to work at polling places on the far west side of Madison. Interested individuals can sign up at http://www.cityofmadison.com/election/pollWorkers/.
