For the first time since 1986, there will be no February Primary in the City of Madison.  There are no primary contests for the county and school district races that will appear on City of Madison ballots April 1.

In the meantime, the City Clerk's Office encourages residents to check their voter registration.  Registration for City of Madison voters will remain open until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.  Voters may register at any Madison Public Library through March 12.

The lack of a spring primary delays the initial use of new ballot tabulators in the city until the spring election on April 1.  Anyone interested in trying out the new tabulator prior to Election Day may cast a demonstration ballot this week at the Central, Alicia Ashman, Goodman South Madison, Hawthorne, Lakeview, Meadowridge, Pinney and Sequoya Libraries during normal library hours.

Voters may cast a demonstration ballot in the Madison City Clerk's Office during normal office hours throughout January and February.
