Voters in Madison ward 29 have until 9 p.m. to cast a ballot at the East High School polling location.

This polling location was closed for 26 minutes earlier today due to a 10-minute fire alarm and due to the polling location opening 16 minutes late.  During that time, voters may have been turned away.

The City Attorney's Office petitioned the court to extend the polling hours for ward 29.

The City Clerk's Office would like to thank Judge Rhonda Lanford for granting the order to keep the East High School polling location open until 9 p.m.
