The City of Madison has issued a total of 30,409 absentee ballots for the November 6 General Election. 18,758 of those absentees were issued to in-person absentee voters at the City Clerk's Office.

As of 10 p.m. Friday, 27,380 absentees have been returned to be counted. Absentee ballots postmarked no later than Election Day and delivered to the Clerk's Office through the mail by 4 p.m. Friday, November 9, will be counted.

In November 2008 the City Clerk's Office issued a total of 32,012 absentee ballots, 17,808 of which were issued to in-person absentee voters. 28,669 of those absentees were returned to be counted.
