During up to five days each summer, Metro helps reduce ground-level ozone by providing free fixed-route rides.

Free-ride Clean Air Action days are announced one day ahead of when weather indications indicate ozone levels will reach a high level.

Watch or listen for Clean Air Action Days announcements on your favorite TV or radio station or posted at mymetrobus.com or cityofmadison.com.

Frequent Rider Appreciation:

Metro would like to recognize its frequent riders who do their part to maintain local air quality and reduce traffic congestion throughout the year.

During the week of a Clean Air Action Day, bring your activated 31-day pass or ADA paratransit eligibility card to the Metro main office reception desk (located at 1101 E. Washington Ave.) and receive a FREE pass/ticket holder!
