Swearing In Ceremony For 27 New Officers

The Madison Police Department will proudly welcome 27 new officers on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. The swearing in ceremony is slated for 8:00 a.m. and oaths will be administered in the MPD classroom, which is located in room GR27 of the City County Building. New recruits are about to start 22 weeks of Madison Police Department Academy instruction. It will be followed by 12 weeks of field training, where recruit-officers are paired with veterans when responding to calls.
