Hot Shanty's Open Hours

If you are looking for an outdoor adventure this weekend, why not enjoy temporary public art in Madison!

Look for Brenda Baker's When Water Was Here on the Vilas Park Walking path, Jeremy Winebergs Inverted Lakes (www.jeremywineberg.net) at Williamson Street and the Yahara River, Timothy Browning's Penguins Marching on Lake Monona, and Christine Olson's Hot Shanty on Monona Bay http://hotshanty.blogspot.com/

There is more information about MAC sponsored temporary public art on our website www.cityofmadison.com/mac. (Note to local artists: the next BLINK deadline isn't until June 1, so you have four more months to get inspired and propose a temporary project of your own!)

BTW, if you are interested in visiting HOT shanty (the bright pink, noticeably unique, not-just-for-fishing shanty on Monona Bay) the shanty will have open hours this weekend and next (2/2 & 2/3, 2/9 & 2/10. The open hours schedule is below. Check out the coloring contest and more on her blog...
