Madison – Mayor Dave Cieslewicz made the following statement today on the passing of Doris Hanson:

“With the passing of Doris Hanson, Wisconsin has lost one of its most dedicated public servants. Whether it was serving as a key member of the Governor’s cabinet, a hard-working state legislator, a staunch advocate of higher education or the proud steward of Monona Terrace, public service was in her blood. Doris knew how to pick her battles, and when she did, losing was not an option. State and local government is a better place for her involvement and a sadder place today after her death.”
