Cherokee Marsh: Red Headed Woodpecker Story with Russ Hefty
Russ Hefty has been involved with Madison Parks Conservation for 30 years helping restore native habitat with innovative techniques. The return of Red-headed Woodpeckers and nesting Bald Eagles are a living testimony to his success that we can all enjoy. Walks at Cherokee Marsh the 1st Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City partners Friends of Cherokee Marsh and Madison Audubon. Take the entry lane past the gate to main parking lot.
