Temporary Drop-off Site at 4141 Nakoosa Trail Will Permanently Close on October 16

Starting Tuesday, October 17 at 8:30am drop-off services will return to 4602 Sycamore Ave. The paving project is complete and will be ready for use at that time.

The temporary drop-off site at 4141 Nakoosa Trail will permanently close at 4:30pm on Monday, October 16.

The Sycamore site will be available for expanded summer drop-off hours when it reopens on October 17. The expanded drop-off site hours are from 8:30am to 4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and from 8:30am to 8:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These hours will be in effect for all of the drop-off sites until Sunday, December 3 at which time Streets Division drop-off services will transition to winter availability.

All materials that were accepted at the Sycamore Ave. location prior to its temporary closure will be accepted again starting October 17, including electronics, household batteries, Styrofoam, clothing, and other items. All items requiring a fee sticker will still need one as well.
All drop-off site restrictions will also be in place at when Sycamore drop-off services return. Contractors, non-residents, and individuals with oversized loads will be denied the use of the site.

Appliance fee stickers are available at the Streets Division offices located at the 4602 Sycamore Ave and 1501 W. Badger Rd. The drop-off services and office operations are separate and have different hours. The office is open Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm. While drop-off services will not return to Sycamore until October 17, the office is available for sticker sales at the office hours stated above. Appliance fee stickers can also be purchased at all branches of the Madison Public Library, the City Treasurer’s office, or online at www.madisonpay.com.
