Temporary Drop-off Site at 4141 Nakoosa Trail Will Be Available Starting June 6

The Streets Division drop-off site located at 4602 Sycamore Ave. will be temporarily closed beginning on Tuesday, June 6. The site will be closing to accommodate a repaving project. The Sycamore location will remain closed until the paving project is complete later this year. The drop-off sites at 1501 W. Badger Rd. and the yard waste only site at 402 South Point Rd. will not be affected.

The Streets Division will operate a temporary drop-off site at 4141 Nakoosa Trail (the former Cub Foods location) during the time when the Sycamore Ave. site is unavailable.

The drop-off site at Nakoosa Trail will be open for the first time at 8:30am on Tuesday, June 6.

All materials that were accepted at the Sycamore Ave. location will be accepted at the Nakoosa Trail site starting June 6, including electronics, household batteries, Styrofoam, clothing, and other items. All items requiring a fee sticker will still need one as well. For a complete list of materials accepted at the drop-off site, and which ones need a fee sticker, please visit the Streets Division website. A list of acceptable materials for the drop-off site can also be found in the Recyclopedia where you can also find a chart that shows the items requiring a fee sticker.

The temporary site at 4141 Nakoosa Trail will be open the same hours as the other two drop-off sites. The hours will be from 8:30am to 4:30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The site will be open from 8:30am to 8:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

All current drop-off site restrictions will also be in place at the Nakoosa Trail site. Contractors, non-residents, and individuals with oversized loads will be denied the use of the drop-off site. For more information regarding drop-off site restrictions, please refer to the Streets Division website or the Recyclopedia.
