Stroll, roll, pedal or glide your way through downtown Madison Sunday, July 31 from 10:00am to 2:00pm! The 8th Annual Ride the Drive, presented by Trek and Madison Parks is more than just a bike ride. Its five miles of downtown Madison’s signature streets closed to motor vehicles and five villages offering activities, food, entertainment and more! The RTD route includes John Nolen Drive, State Street and E. Washington Avenue. Village locations include Capitol Square, Peace Park, Brittingham Park, Olin Park and Law Park. Maps and information are available at all 5 villages.
 
Be sure to visit the Trek Bike Village at Law Park from 11:00am-12:00pm and meet retired professional cycling legend, Jens Voigt. Jens is a true legend in the sport of professional cycling competing in the Tour de France 17 times, winning several stages and wearing the famed yellow jersey in the 2005 race. In 2014, Jens became the world Hour Record holder before retiring as a member of Wisconsin’s own Trek Factory Racing team after a storied 17-year career. 
 
Food, refreshments and information are available at all 5 villages. Other Ride the Drive highlights include the bike-themed selfie booth at the newly added Business Improvement District Village at Peace Park, cheese samples from Fromagination at the Capitol Square, MSCR’s games and activities at the Family Village at Brittingham Park, the mountain bike and cyclocross course at the Helmet Parade Village at Olin Park, and the climbing wall at the Trek Bike Village at Law Park.

The success of this event is due to our many volunteers and supporters. Each volunteer receives the coveted Ride the Drive t-shirt with newly redesigned RTD logo and a one-year Madison BCycle membership.
