NEWS RELEASE FROM PUBLIC HEALTH MADISON & DANE COUNTY

Madison WI - September 22, 2008 - Public Health Madison & Dane County's (PHMDC) new website goes live today.  It provides the public with an easy-to-navigate informational resource that offers details on all of the programs and services of Public Health - Madison and Dane County.  Earlier this year, Madison's Public Health Department and the Dane County Division of Public Health were merged into a new organization, Public Health - Madison and Dane County.  With the advent of the new website, the old city and county public health websites have been taken off line.

According to Dr. Thomas Schlenker, Director of Public Health - Madison and Dane County, "while no website is ever a finished product, this new site provides a detailed picture of our programs and services, a variety of publications, news releases, and useful links to related resources."

The site can be accessed at www.publichealthmdc.com.
