Final deliveries to parks locations began today, May 19, 2020.

The mulch availability in select city parks is coming to an end.

The Streets Division began the final mulch deliveries today, May 19, 2020, and the sites will not be restocked again once they have been emptied.

Check the Streets Division’s website for "Mulch in the Parks" to learn when the sites were last filled. Mulch is not guaranteed to be available at these locations.

The brush processing facility at 121 E. Olin Ave. remains closed at this time. The brush processing facility will be reopened in accordance with the Forward Dane plan. Another announcement will be made when the Olin Ave. site is available.

Practice Safety
While at the mulch sites in the parks, please remember to continue safe practices, like maintaining social distance and wearing face coverings. This is for your health, as well as the health of all Madisonians.

Mulch in the Parks Restrictions
The mulch is intended for Madison residents only.

No bobcats or other machinery can be used when loading.

Residents will need their own shovel and container to carry the mulch.

The following are the parks locations used for mulch that residents can take. Additional location information can be found on the Streets Division’s website:

  • Olin Park
  • Olbrich Park
  • Warner Park
  • Sycamore Park
