Beginning Monday, April 7, 2008, City Engineering along with Trierweiler Construction will begin reconstructing Mineral Point Road and Gammon Road at the following locations:

1. Mineral Point Road from the Beltline Highway to Gammon Road: Reconstruction of bus lanes and curb and gutter, which will require some intersection closures.

2. Mineral Point Road from Gammon Place to Grand Canyon Drive: Complete replacement of all pavement along with curb and gutter.

3. Gammon Road from Tree Lane to Gammon Place: Complete pavement replacement including curb and gutter.

4. Gammon Road from Gammon Place to Beltline Highway: Minor joint repair at the intersection of Gammon Road and the Odana/West Towne Mall Entrance, which will be open at all times.

The project will consist of reconstructing half of the roadway at a time while traffic is shifted to the opposite side of the roadway. Medians will be removed to maintain as many travel lanes as possible. Left turns will be maintained at Gammon Road for most of the project. Access to all businesses including West Towne Mall will be maintained at all times.

The project is expected to last until early August. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delay during this project.
