Metro Transit will be installing new fareboxes on all fixed-route buses beginning this August. This new farebox system will accept cash and all Metro fare items except paper Quik Tix.
 
As a result, Metro will no longer accept Quik Tix as of October 31.
 
Passengers are asked to trade in their existing Quik Tix for 2-ride or 10-ride cards. The amount of 2-ride cards or 10-ride cards received will be equivalent to the amount of Quik Tix handed in.

Trade-ins can also be done in person at Metro’s Administration Office located on the second floor at 1245 E. Washington Ave. All passengers exchanging Quik Tix in person will also receive a free Metro gift.
