Madison – Mayor Dave Cieslewicz today announced that the Goodman Pool will be open for an additional hour tonight due to the high heat and humidity. The pool will be open until 9:00 p.m. instead of the typical closing time of 8:00 p.m.

“Given the high temperatures and humidity today, we are keeping the Goodman Pool open late tonight so as many people as possible are able to enjoy a break from the summer weather,” said Cieslewicz. “This is a great chance to come down and enjoy this fabulous new facility.”

The Goodman Pool is located at 325 Olin Avenue on Madison’s south side. Daily admission prices range from $2.00 for children to $3.50 for non-Madison residents. Season passes are also available for sale at the pool.

The City also announced today that swimming lessons will be starting next Monday from 4:45 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Open swim will take place from 12:30 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
