The city of Madison is excited to bring back Madison Meet & Eat for summer 2014. This unique neighborhood event brings together a collective of local food cart vendors and encourages friends and neighbors to enjoy a fun night out. The first series kicks off Thursday, June 19 from 5:00-7:30 and continues on Thursdays through August 28. The location for the series is the parking lot adjacent to the Meadowood Shopping Center at 5800 Raymond Road.

Madison Meet & Eat is an initiative by Madison Mayor Paul Soglin to bring together community members and local food vendors in order to address “food deserts.” A food desert is defined as an area where healthy, affordable food is difficult to obtain.  Madison Meet & Eat will address this issue by introducing attendees to new and local food options in a fun, neighborhood atmosphere, with each vendor having at least one option under $3.

Bring your friends and family to Meadowood Shopping Center Thursday nights from 5:00-7:30 to enjoy healthy, local foods and the company of your neighbors at Madison Meet& Eat. Due to limited parking, guests are encouraged to walk, bike or take the bus.
