The Streets Division has suspended large item collection for Monday, February 18, 2019 in response to weather conditions. The ongoing Christmas tree collection operations will also be suspended today. Streets Division staff typically assigned to these tasks will be used for snow-related tasks.

Collections of large items and Christmas trees should resume Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

The Streets Division asks that residents who have not yet placed large items to the curb for their regularly scheduled Monday collection wait to place them out for pickup on Tuesday, February 19. Residents with a Tuesday large item collection can also place those items to the curb for pickup on February 19.

Residents who have positioned large items to the curb in advance of today’s scheduled collection can leave them in place. However, items buried in snow or frozen to the curb cannot be picked up by collection crews when the services resume. If you elect to leave your large items in place, be sure they are accessible.

Christmas tree collection is also suspended due to the weather. Personnel typically used on this service will be reassigned to snow-related duties. Christmas trees already placed to the curb can be left in place until collection resumes later this week. Trees buried by snow or frozen to the curb cannot be collected. Residents who have not yet placed Christmas trees to the curb should elect to bring them to a drop-off site as some areas of Madison have already received their second and final collection opportunity.

Additional information about collection services can be found on the Streets Division website, www.cityofmadison.com/streets.
