Due to an emergency sanitary sewer repair, one outbound traffic lane on Monroe Street near the intersection of Edgewood Avenue will be closed during the peak travel time today, September 16. Outbound traffic will be restricted to a single lane. 
 
The lane closure is expected to continue through the evening hours. 
 
The sidewalk on the north side of Edgewood Avenue will also be closed.  Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times on the sidewalk on the south side of Monroe Street. 
 
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during this lane closure as significant travel delays are expected.
