Imagine Madison, the City of Madison’s Comprehensive Plan update, is midway through the third phase of public input, which covers prioritization. Direction is being sought on how the City should prioritize strategies established in the second phase of public input and what actions need to be taken to implement the strategies. Additionally, the City is seeking feedback from the community on what areas should be prioritized to accommodate new development. Madison is projected to add 40,000 new households and 37,000 new jobs through 2040.

“As we get closer to formulating the Plan itself, more feedback from the public is needed to ensure that the Plan addresses residents’ priorities for the City over the next 10 to 20 years,” said Heather Stouder, Planning Division Director. “The Comprehensive Plan is used when considering everything from City services and infrastructure to proposed development projects. Imagine Madison provides an opportunity to influence the City’s direction over the next 10 years.”

Feedback can be provided by accessing the Phase 3 Survey on the Imagine Madison website at https://www.imaginemadisonwi.com/workbook-3-home.
