The City of Madison and Dane County will hold their annual home compost bin sale on Saturday May 3rd. This one day only sale will feature the Earth Machine Home Composter. The Earth Machine will be on sale for $39, plus tax.

"The bin sale is a very popular event," Madison recycling coordinator George Dreckmann said.

The compost bins will be sold at the Alliant Energy Center from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. People should use the Olin Av entrance.

The bins sale will be held rain or shine and bins are sold on a first come first served basis. The sites will accept cash or checks only, no credit cards.

"You do not need to be a Madison or Dane County resident to purchase a compost bin," Dreckmann said. "You can also purchase as many bins as you would like."
